Underdog Athletes Youth Soccer is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free youth soccer programs, leadership skill development education, social-emotional learning, and youth mentoring in underserved communities.
Over the past couple of years, we have been lucky enough to partner with the RAVE Foundation, linked with the Seattle Sounders FC. They have provided us soccer balls, tickets to games, t shirts, and awesome opportunities for the athletes to see professional soccer. Thank you, RAVE Foundation!
Athletes will enjoy practice at a local field, with drills run by coaches, individual feedback and technique tips, and emotional support. At times we divide drill groups up into skill level, but we spend most of our time working all together for the benefit of the team. Athletes play in team scrimmages as well as more formal competitions against other teams in their age group.
Once a week, our athletes gather inside for a coach led class focused on the elementals of teamwork. We find that this has a large, positive impact on their gameplay and on their moral development as well. Past topics have included healthy leadership, communication, and conflict resolution. Coaches are also certificated secondary school teachers.

Here at Underdog, soccer comes second to the formation of a healthy community, future world changers, and current peer group leaders. We are not just a team: we are a family!

Underdog Athletes Youth Soccer, founded by an experienced educator and soccer coach with a background in Seattle public schools, aims to empower youths in underserved communities through the joy of soccer. Our programs focus on developing useful skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging to drive them towards a brighter future.

Supporting emotional wellbeing through positive coaching, conflict resolution, and a safe space to work through emotions. Our coaches deeply care about the whole person, not just athletic ability.

Guiding and mentoring young individuals through building strong and open relationships and supporting athletes and their families season after season.
